Gaddi

A gaddi is a thin, firm cotton mattress traditionally used in Indian homes for babies to sleep and rest on. Unlike thick Western-style mattresses, a gaddi sits flat on the floor or cot and provides a clean, firm surface that is easy to move and fold. Indian parents have used gaddis for generations as the primary sleeping surface for newborns, and they remain popular for their practicality and cultural familiarity.
