Both are excellent. Cotton is highly absorbent, widely available, and affordable — ideal for daily use. Bamboo is ultra-soft, naturally antibacterial, and hypoallergenic, making it great for babies with sensitive skin. For Indian summers, cotton is perfectly suited; bamboo is a premium upgrade.

We recommend having at least 3-4 baby towels. Newborns are bathed every 2-3 days but towels get used for drying after sponge baths, cleaning up after feeds, and tummy time. Having a few in rotation ensures you always have a fresh, dry one ready.

Use a mild, fragrance-free baby detergent and avoid fabric softeners — they reduce absorbency over time. Wash in warm (not hot) water and shake out the towel before air drying. If using a dryer, use low heat. Over time, all towels lose some softness but gentle washing extends the lifespan.
