Most paediatricians recommend introducing solids at 6 months. At this point you'll need a soft-tipped first spoon and a small bowl or suction bowl. By 8-9 months, babies can start practicing self-feeding with pre-loaded spoons. By 12 months, they can begin using a spoon independently. Start with one piece at a time — you don't need the full set immediately.
